25. November 2024

The last community meeting of 2024 provided an opportunity for intensive exchange between representatives from industry and research. The focus was on contributions on the topics of automated harvesting and automation interfaces along the agricultural value chain.
We would like to thank KUKA for their hospitality and the tour of the production halls.
The main topics included:
• Dr Josef Franko, AI.Land – Challenges in agriculture and joint solutions through open innovation
• Josef Schmidt, digital workbench gmbh – Presentation of the ‘Tipard 1800’ multi-carrier platform as an automation solution in the agricultural sector
• Florian Gramß, Siemens AG – Combining automation solutions with open-source robotics software

The presentations and discussions made it clear that cooperation and open innovation are essential keys to the future development of agriculture.
We look forward to continuing the discussions and to productive cooperation at the Centre for Smart Industrial Agriculture.
