The last community meeting of 2024 provided an opportunity for intensive exchange between representatives from industry and research. The focus was on contributions on the topics of automated harvesting and automation interfaces along the agricultural value chain.
\nWe would like to thank KUKA for their hospitality and the tour of the production halls.
\nThe main topics included:
\n\u2022 Dr Josef Franko, AI.Land \u2013 Challenges in agriculture and joint solutions through open innovation
\n\u2022 Josef Schmidt, digital workbench gmbh \u2013 Presentation of the \u2018Tipard 1800\u2019 multi-carrier platform as an automation solution in the agricultural sector
\n\u2022 Florian Gram\u00df, Siemens AG \u2013 Combining automation solutions with open-source robotics software<\/p>\n

The presentations and discussions made it clear that cooperation and open innovation are essential keys to the future development of agriculture.
